Streamline is a fully remote business based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. We serve clients across all 50 states and have the ability to serve globally for those not based in the United States. While not always the case, we will usually meet each of our Virtual CFO clients once a year in person. 

All clients have the option to enroll in our proprietary, internally developed KPI and dashboard software. This software gives you clean, real-time, and fully customizable dashboards with insights into your financials and lets you know of strengths or issues before they develop - no more waiting until month-end and going back and forth with your accountant. We charge our services on a month-by-month basis with no long-term contracts. We do not charge our services by the hour. Every business has its own complexities and factors that make it unique. As such, we do not have a one-size fits all price, rather, we work with you to understand your business and its needs and agree on a service level and price that make sense. That said, we do have monthly minimums which are $500 for bookkeeping, $250 for payroll, and $2,000 for full-service Virtual CFO.

We primarily use QuickBooks Online but have a wide degree of experience in other ERP systems such as QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, and Sage. We are well versed in most financial support software such as Bill.com, Carta, and Ramp. All payroll services are generally done through Gusto, but we have experience and the ability to work in others such as Paylocity and ADP. All bookkeeping clients will receive a QuickBooks subscription included. Our Streamline Insights software is internally developed and accessible via our website.

Every client is unique, and we cannot make any express promises on the amount of time needed to onboard a client, but generally, most onboarding is complete in 3-4 weeks. Clients coming from other accountants or in-house accounting may require some reconfiguration which may increase the onboarding time. 

While no two companies are alike and your service needs are entirely dependent on your business complexity level, we find that companies with less than $1 million in annual revenue generally need only the basic bookkeeping and payroll services with companies surpassing $1 million needing a more strategy-focused partner which is usually a virtual CFO/controller. We recommend once a company achieves $10 million in annual revenue, they hire a full-time Controller or CFO. 

A virtual CFO, or a virtual Controller, provides part-time outsourced financial leadership and strategic financial expertise to businesses remotely. They offer comprehensive financial guidance, reporting, and decision-making support without being a full-time, in-house employee.
